Coloured version of my 'Friends Will Be Friends' sketch :3
When I sketched it I gave it the title of 'Friends Will Be Friends' - possibly because that was the song on my playlist at the time, but also because I wanted to kinda capture the friendship of the two 'best friends' in my story (the blonde is Riek, the brunette is Shan) - I wanted to show that no matter how rough or difficult/desperate situations may get, you always have your friends there to help you out.... and get beaten up with you lol. I'm not terribly sure why Shan is smiling - on the sketch it seemed really sweet, but the only explanation I have for it now is either he's glad he's not being beaten up any more, or, he has severe head trauma XDDD
Character artwork done entirely in Macromedia Flash, with a bit of blurring added in Photoshop for their bruises, background done in Photoshop. No, I didn't use a grass brush, I tried but failed because none of the grass brushes I found were at the right angle for this XD so I did every blade of grass by hand ~ it took a loooong time!

These two really look like the characters of my fic haha. There is a brunette and a blondy in my fics, they are friends and such. The brownhaired one has a confident personality, while the blond one is pretty much the opposite and they lived in the streets so they fighted a lot. Gosh, this picture is so damn perfect T_T
